Well where do I start.
They have a large assortment of cereals, breads, preserves, cold meats, cheeses. The breakfast also consists of hot food including bacon (albeit streaky) scrambled eggs, fried eggs (cooked as you like), boiled eggs, beans, tomatoes etc and pancakes mmmmmmmm
You have picked a good hotel. I have stayed there for the last 5 years, and cant fault it.

The Athena breakfasts are amazing! Be sure to get down in good time and grab a table outside by the pool-so relaxing
Thank you for your reply, only got a week to go now, really looking forward to it, Just hope i have got enough money.
Please can you tell me if £500-£600 is enough for a week in paphos, for one person.?????????????
You'll have plenty to spare if you're only there for a week. We take 1k for 2 weeks for the 2 of us and charge some things to our credit card. Dinner in the hotel was only 8 or 9 CyP last year. It is really good value with a tremendous choice, but I wouldn't want to do it every night because there's some really lovely restaurants within walking distance. Just expect to pay the same sort of prices as the UK.
You'll have a fab time at the Athena I'm sure and there's no need to take beach towels/hairdryer/iron/kettle. Just take Nescafe or PG tips if that's your thing. You can stock up the fridge with your own drinks and take them to the pool - and that's something we haven't been able to do at other 4*. And when you return next year you'll receive a 10% loyalty discount.
Hope you have a great time.
I am just worried about the money coz i am used to Euros. And you get less money for what you have if you know what i mean!!!!!
can i ask, did you go on any trips within your budget??????
We are staying in Paphos for a short break in May, staying at the Athena Beach on b&b basis. Are there plenty of places to eat nearby, how far is it to walk into Paphos
Click Here to read our many reviews for this popular hotel.
Whilst your waiting for a reply Rabbit There are a number of restaurants 5/10 mins walk from the Athena. (Turn left when you come out of the hotel ;)) Chinese, Italian, French, Greek. There is a Rib Shack and Indian as well.
I dont think you will struggle to find restaurants.

My fiance and I are hoping to stay at the Athena next year in june when we wil be getting married...
We love the look of Peyia town hall gardens... how far is the hotel from Peyia? We have 20 in our wedding party so any suggestions as to how we would get everyone there?
Also have any of you eaten at Ficardo's? It has been recommended for the reception.
Any help or advice would be great!!!
Peyia is the other side of Paphos. It would probably take you 20 minutes in a car dependant on traffic.
We are staying at the Athena Beach in May 07 and getting married at Yeroskipou Town Hall which I believe is about 5-10 min drive. It has lovely grounds and has the sea in the bakground. There are 23 of us in total. I will let you know what its like when I return in June 07.

We stayed at the Athena Beach about 3 years ago. We had an excellent sea view room that overlooked the swimming pool and not the buildings below. Does anyone know any good room numbers that I can request?
Yes, they still do the pool towels which you sign for in the gym. As for rooms with a view you would need a high floor and 3100 - 3119 are those on the side wing overlooking the pool and slide, but I would check those out by emailing the hotel to be sure. Hope that helps.
Does anyone know if the adapted rooms at the athena beach hotel have sea views, inland views or partial views and also if they are stuck on the ground floor or if they have any on other floor levels.

Have you tried emailing them - they really are helpful.
