Hi Has anyone been to the Atlantis Hotel in Belek? We are thinking of going next may towards the end of may. It looks a lovely hotel, any idea if it will it be hot and what is the weather like in the evening?
Is there a market or somewhere where you can buy fake bags, t shirts etc.
Thanks
Sorry dont know the hotel - but weather wise can be chilly at night though gradually gets warmer as you go through may it depends if you are going early may or later in may - take a jacket have a good time
Where is the cheapest place to buy jewlerry and fake items near the Atlanis or within 30 mins. ride.
Does anyone know if there are any shops near the hotel?
Thanks
If anyone has stayed at this hotel can you please add a review for the benefit of other holidaymakers at
We went to Bodrum on 27 May this year. Weather fab most of time but did have couple of cloudy mornings. It was about 30c most days. It did turn bit cool at night tho. Watch out for mozzi's!
The resort area of Belek consists of around 40 4* and 5* hotels seemingly all quite similar in their general layout and size. There will be a shuttle or taxi available to the towns of Belek or Kadriye from all of them. I think Atlantis is nearer to Belek, which should cater for your requirements.
German and Russian tourists are far more common than British in the area and take any spare Euros you might have as they are commonly accepted.
I went to Side years ago and could not believe that the prices in shops were in deutch marks. Where do the english people go, it sounds as though there are certain areas where certain nationalties hang out, I am not too fussed as long as they do not start pushing in and taking over the sun beds.
Do you know where the local market is? and is it a lot cheaper than the shops?
Thanks
Apparantly, there is a bigger market at Manavgat, which you can reach by organised excursion, or by local bus (we didn't go).
The region served by Antalya seems to be more popular with German/Russian tourists than British. Many locals speak English in any case so it's not a problem unless you've got a real problem yourself with certain nationalities.
Atlantis looks very nice BTW. We went to Grida Village which was great the first time round, but when we returned 7 months later they had added over 100 new rooms which put too much of a strain on the catering facilities, as well as the sunbeds, most of which were "reserved" by 7 am. Germans, Russians, Swiss, Polish etc. people were all at it. And so were the Brits.
thinking of booking it up.
We stayed there in February/March time. With it being out of season we never used the outside pools, only the indoor. There were a lot of bars in different parts of the hotel, it goes straight on to the beach where turtles lay there eggs.
It is used by a lot of russians, germans etc and it is used as for loads of big meetings as it has a lot of rooms for meetings.
It is about a 40 min walk into Belek, but apparently a tractor runs up and down during the summer, for the tourists.
There is food available nearly all the time from 7am til 1am. Drinks were free till midnight (except imported) Not sure about the disco in the cellar though, never used it.
Hope this helps. They do have a website which is always worth a visit.
