I made my opinion as requested in the topic subject. I did visit the village for an afternoon, the only thing I didnt do here was to sleep!!!! We had a good wander around the blocks looking in them, before finding a spot near the pool.

So because I didnt sleep here I cannot comment??????

Before I booked the hotel I did consider the village, and am very very glad I stuck with my first instinct.

We stayed at the Avanti Village last year. We loved it and would deffo recommend it to anyone.
Cannot see how anyone can see it like Butlins,and as for the pools We have had holidays in most places and I thought they were the best Ive seen.

We stayed at the Avanti Village not long after the first phase opened (apologies, thought I had entered a review at the time but apparently not.) If I am being brutally honest, I was not particularly impressed. There was little in the way of entertainment but I put that down to the fact they were really just up an running. What surprised me most however was the tiredeness of the rooms that were supposedly brand new. My guess was that most of the furnishings came from the hotel, they certainly were not new. We also, for the first time in Cyprus, experienced an infestation of ants which the management did little to help with. They were on all the kitchen work surfaces, tables and even in the toaster - yuk ! We resorted to fumigating the apartment at our own expense (I am not someone that baulks at the sight of an insect abroad, it comes with the territory, but this was pretty unpleasant.) We also had the misfortune to 'lose' a digital camera at this complex. Again, we received no assistance from the management when this happened. Unless there have been radical improvements to the Avanti Village I would definitely not stay there again. I would stress however we were there in the very early days of it's existance and I'm sure they will have endeavoured to iron out the problems such as we had.
