We thought the hotel itself was lovely, the surrounding area had a couple of great restaurants and we thoroughly enjoyed eating in sage, twice! Unfortunately I managed to get bitten 30 or more times over night, they didnt look like mosquito bites and other people have suggested they look more like flea bites! over a week later they are still itchy and driving me mad at time. Other than that, it was a great place to stay!

I am hoping weather will be good early Oct as I am going to Pernera for two weeks. Can't wait but still got 4 months

Ayia Napa doesn't close down until the end of October so you should be fine at the beginning/middle.

Weather wise......it's never going to be as good as July, Aug & Sept but the good thing with Cyprus is that their summer season for weather etc. runs slightly differently to other med destinations in as much as the 3 month peak or high perior is Jul, Aug & Sept as oppose to Jun, Jul, Aug elsewhere.

I'm off for my annual pilgrimage on Sept 10th for 2 weeks and I know it'll be HOT

I just hope the extraoridnary heat wave they're experiencing for May/June continues through the season

went to Ayia Napa a few years ago in December had a little rain and a lot of places closed we were early 60's but the two lads next door late 20/30's found a nightclub open which they enjoyed weather turned very hot and I suffered sun stroke on the plane home, really loved the holiday as a warm winter break but do not think I would go to Ayia Napa in the high season.

Thankyou all for your help! Looks like Napa Plaza or Faros Hotel for 2 weeks on 24/09!
Thanks again!

We are also going to cyprus in October and will also be staying at the Napa Plaza. We have stayed at both the Napa and the Faros and were deciding which one was best. We opted for the Napa in the end. Arriving 1st October for 2 whole weeks. Been before in October and the weather is usually quite hot.

Have you stayed at the Napa Plaza before? :?:

Yes - was great! Very friendly staff and great location! Surrounded by nice restaurants, close enough to the town but not too close and also not far from the beach! Would highly recommend!
Although one thing - superior room thing is a bit of rip off as you get bathrobes and a fridge as extra but you can hire fridge from reception!
You'll enjoy it there - we did and will probably return sept or oct...

Thanks

Thanks guys!Yeah it was well in the forties when i was there but as long as its hot i don't mind, the plan is to go the 30th of August so were gettin the end of august start of september, as long as its not dead i will be happy! Just one other thing in your experience is it better to book a bit in advance or can you get good accomadation closer to the time your goin. Im on for bookin now as I seem to have got quite a good deal but im afraid of waitin in case we can't get anywhere central so we won't be able to roll hom easy in the mornins!
Reply
Well we've never booked last minute so I'm not sure but I would imagine it's harder to find good accomodation close to the centre if you leave it too late. If you have found a good deal you may as well book it now :P

Ive never booked last minute either i like to know when im goin on holidays! And have it planned but i have an awful feelin if we did leave it too late we would be stuck in nowhere! which would be awful, aww just can't wait to book it now!

Good Luck! - You may well find a last minute deal at that time of year, but you run the risk of not getting ideally located accomodation. The choice is yours.

Enjoy your holiday! Please, I urge you to visit a bit of the real Cyprus when you're out there too if you can. Hire a car for a day or something perhaps? There is a lot more to Cyprus than just sun and bars, which you can get almost anywhere.

Hi.

I'm off on Sept 10th with 9 other friends (girlies) I regulalry go to Napa in september and it's still busy and still very warm 8)

I would think you could get a cheap deal nearer the time, why not look at a bit of DIY....I always do. Charter flights with one of the operators like Thomson of First Choice or better still with scheduled with BA or AJet (Helios) then just contact a hotel or apartments for a price.

If you deffo want a package try Olympic nearer the time as their prices drop considerbaly and they have some good offers and lots of accom in Napa.

Good luck and happy hols
