British Airways' mixed fleet cabin crew has extended its strike until the end of August, including the bank holiday weekend.
It would mean the cabin crew will have been on strike for the whole of July and August.
Unite the union said this would have forced British Airways to spend millions on 'wet leasing' aircraft to cover the striking cabin crew.
Unite is 'pursuing legal action' on behalf of crew who have been sanctioned for taking strike action, including the removal of bonuses and travel concessions.

I've read elsewhere that BA have reinstated staff travel to those involved in industrial action from August 1st , so perhaps a first step ? The union Unite did actually recommend the pay deal , but the members voted against accepting it , I think basic pay is an issue with MF crew that needs to be resolved . The head official of unite MF has been " moved sideways " and a new official has now taken over and apparently is easier to work with ? ? There has to be a fair negotiated outcome to this , the longer it goes on the more disgruntled the crew will become with their employer which is not in the interests of either parties .
Also, from the same place, there are niggles online between strikers and non strikers. BA need to sort this. They won't have the Qatar planes after August. And it's relentless bad publicity just now.
