As from October British Airways are cancelling all their flights to Tunis. Not good news at all, as this will allow the only other schedule flights by Tunisiar to charge what they want. A sad day for business and tourist travellers in my opinion.
A lack of demand no doubt, perhaps one of those lovely lowcost airlines might pick up the route?
The problem of course is for those who may have booked well in advance and the flight is now cancelled. Not the fault of the TA but would hope that they don't sit on their hands.
I got that news from elsewhere Jenny and it is indeed a blow. The flights were usually fairly full so I can't see there was a lack of demand. Flights with TC have gone up a lot and BA used to be a very good option. Now that Tunisia is apparently opening up its skies, as Kiltman says we can only hope one of the low-cost airlines will go out to Tunisia. I'd prefer Stansted to Enfidha of course, but Gatwick/Tunis will do if they are cheap enough.
