Any tips are much appreciated re:
Things to do?
Do the supermarkets sell SMA formula Milk?
Will we be able to use a UK kettle with a suitable adaptor?
Thanks again!

The mini markets certainly sell disposable nappies, milk, etc., but whether they will be brands with which you will be familiar is rather doubtful, I suspect.
As far as the kettle is concerned - yes, you just need a standard European 2-pin (round pins) adapter.
the supermarkets tend to sell most things so i'm sure you will be able to get baby milk of some sort if they do not have your prefered brand
they have loads and loads of baby clothes and some real nice stuff for babies to all at dead cheap prices (might help when packing) i know this because the wife kept looking for a give for my baby niece
Is there much to do in the area for a three year old toddler?
Balchik is just a small town with a working port - not really a resort. It's also pretty hilly.
do you need to take the e11 form to bulgaria incase you need anything from the chemists etc

I'm not very good at explaining this, but here goes!
Click on the url button, put an = and paste your long link between url and ] , type the description or name you want to give it, click on the url button again to close the link As follows, but without the spaces before and after the =.
Holiday Truths
Have a practise and preview your message to check if it has worked.
Have posted it on the forum instead of pm'ing it incase anyone else was interested.

Hi Luci,
took our little one, make sure you take enough nappies with you for your stay as we could nt find the right size for him, the formula milk is only nestle and a foriegn make take your own as you dont want to upset your babys stomach, the chemist were the best places to go for nappies wipes etc, if your baby is fussy with food take her favorites with you,i would advise you take some juice with you as the stuff they have is full of e numbers, hope this is what you need.
Thanks Chaps.
We are taking our baby daughter to Sunny Beach for the first two weeks in September (she will be 15 months old on arrival). I am a bit wary about taking her abroad and even more so after reading some of the reviews re food, beggars, prostitutes etc. I have been to Turkey on several occassions and loved it. If it is anything like Turkey then I will be happy and know that there are just some people who forget we have the same common problems on our own doorstep.
Well past the baby stage (thank Heavens!) but when I was last in Sunny Beach, I recall thinking that I would be more than happy to take the grandchildren there, because of the generally safe feel of the place.

Baldur
The Bulgarians love children and really spoil them, so no problems there.
The reports I have read regarding beggars and prostitutes are greatly exaggerated. Depends where you go, but the chances are you won't come across any.
Peter
As previous said the bulgarians love the children. Only downside, we noticed was pavements where uneven and chucks missing sometimes, so could be fun with a pushchair!. This was in Golden Sands and I know there were plans for the gov. to address the roads & pavements prior to joining the EU. But you will have a great time anyway. Yvette
Yes the pavements were a pain but no more so than the ones in Turkey.
I KNOW THIS SOUNDS DAFT BUT ARE NAPPIES EASY TO BUY, DONT FANCY CARRYING TWO WEEKS SUPPLY?
Yes, but maybe not the makes you are used to, are available in the mini-markets.
Yes, you'll find disposable nappies in most Mini Markets or Chemists shops (Аптека).

<Edit> apologies for the 'synchronised button pressing', Peter!
