Can anyone recommend baby friendly hotels etc....
We have a 5mth old baby and would like to find some baby friendly hotels in the south east for weeknd breaks.

We went to The Ickworth in Suffolk and it was absolutely amazing (albeit a bit pricey). They have a family restaurant as well as a restaurant for adults. They have baby listening, so you can have a lovely evening in the restaurant / bar. There are loads of bikes with child seats / trailers outside - you just help yourself.
The hotel is actually part of a stately home owned by the National Trust set in beautiful gardens - great for cycling round. They've got an indoor swimming pool and outdoor games for the kids (sandpit etc). They also have DVD players in the bedrooms and you can borrow DVDs from reception - I think they had board games to borrow as well. They also have a games room, but it's not suitable for babies - it's for the older children.
They have a creche with qualified nannies where you can leave your little one for a bit if you want. We left our son there for an hour whilst we papmpered ourselves in the Spa (beauty treatnments etc).
Anyway, I would say it is a wonderful place for a luxurious and relaxing weekend away, but I'm not joking when I say it hits the bank balance quite hard! I would say it's worth it for a special weekend away, but I'm sure there's heaps of other places around that are child friendly and reasonably priced.
