Hi,
Myself, my husband and my 14 month old daughter are heading to the Dominican Republic in April. Just starting to think ahead to what things I will need to pack and what I can get out there for my daughter. It will be our first overseas holiday with our daughter, so just trying to be super organised!!
Nappies - I will try to pack as many as possible, but with weight restrictions might not be able to find enough space for 2 weeks worth. How easily available are they there and roughly what is the cost? Also do they sell Pampers / Huggies?
Milk - My daughter will not be on formula by the time we go but just wondered how safe the milk is for her to drink, id read something ages ago about the milk not being produced there or something like that?
I cant think of anything else at the moment but if anybody has any advice on travelling with a baby it would be most appreciated.
Many Thanks
Lorraine
I'd consider keeping her on formula until after you've been, you can make formula as and when she wants it then,I always kept bottles of pre-boiled water then gave formula to my son at room temperature, you only have to measure powder in and shake,so much easier I think than risking the milk at hotel.T.
It might be worth contacting the hotel direct to ask the question. I've emailed the hotel we are going to in August direct about the rooms and they were really helpful.
when we last visted in 2005, the shops in our hotel didn't sell that much apart from gifts.
