Hi wonder if anyone can help?
I have booked tickets from Bangkok - Siem Reap - Bangkok - Ko samui - Bangkok, I have booked them through Opodo, in the past when I have booked Thailand holidays through tour ops the reps have always taken our domestic Bangkok Airways tickets to reconfirm them , does this mean all Bangkok airways tickets must be reconfirmed?thanks shirleyV
Its safest to reconfirm just in case of any changes to departure times.
I would say a definite yes...I lost a flight I had booked due to not reconfirming early enough with Bangkok Airways...and since it was one to link up with the flight back to UK it did cause a few problems.
Thanks for your reply Sunbear - how would you reconfirm? could you ring Bangkok airways in uk a couple of days before going out to Thailand or does it have to be 24 hours before flight???
this could be tricky , any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

I always use the hotel reception to do any reconfirmations for me now. The flights we lost we actually reconfirmed I think a couple of days before flight was due, but was presumably outside the Bangkok Airways deadline, as they had sold on the flights to someone else. This was quite a few years ago so Bangkok Airways may have changed there procedures in the meantime (what with e-ticketing and the like). However better to be safe than sorry.
When we used to use tour ops to travel to Thailand I notice they always did the reconfirmations as soon as we got to Thailand.

Thanks again sunbear - we usually travel with Kuoni etc but this year DIY and I do remember always the ground agents would take our tickets to reconfirm them, I will ring Bangkok Airways a couple of weeks before I go just to be on the safe side, thanks shirleyV
I got ticked off in February at BKK by Bangkok Airways check-in staff for not re-confirming (so archaic). Don't do it too far in advance though. I reconfirmed my return flight on arrival just to save the bother later (and also in case I forgot). They are very helpful though and will make every effort to get you on that flight.
Sorry. Forgot to say you should always reconfirm AFTER the previous flight, eg in Siem Reap you will need to reconfirm your flight to Samui (assuming you are transiting BKK). If you plan on staying in BKK a few days then confirm your flight to Samui from BKK.
I'm sure I've made this sound far more complicated than it really is.

I just e-mailed them a few week's before and asked if we had to reconfirm. They got back to me and asked for my detail's which I e-mailed back they then sent back and said everything had been updated I printed this off took it with me and had no problem's.
Thanks all of you , I rang Bangkok Airways today and they said yes I do need to reconfirm all flights , they recommend approx 3 days before so I will ring the UK office before departure - they will then reconfirm my first flight only , then I must reconfirm as I go along, thanks again for your help.
