Hi,
I'm off to Paphos on holiday soon and don't want to miss any rugby league action whilst I am there. I bet most of the sport is football?
Can anyone recommend a place thats shows the rugby league, does a good pint and serves food?
Thanks

Zorro's near the fountain in bar street!! food no only snacks at lunch, but places to eat all around..cheapest in town for a pint!!
The Rugby Arms on Ikarou Street is owned by Graham (from St Helens) a former chef. He and Jeanette took over the bar last year and made us very welcome when we watched a couple of matches in there last summer. It's a very friendly place and you're guaranteed to see the Superleague with no-one switching channels to the football or cricket.
pm me if you'd like directions.
Thanks for the replies - Jims sounds good but if there is a fellow "sintellinser" out there I will have to look him up and spend some Euros there!
I hope this is OK, but The Rugby Arms is my brothers place - here is a thread from last year that the mods kindly let me post : http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=97383&hilit=rugby
Anyway, I am currently building a website for him - its work in progress but have a look at http://www.rugbyarms.com
A map and menu will be upped soon.
I have even given holiday truths a link on the front page - i am sooo generous!!
Cheers
Geoggy
When I was there last year the Aussie bar on Tomb of the Kings showed rugby league.
don't forget me......................................

ST HELENS................

There is a map to be found in this topic here: http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=97383&hilit=rugby

The Rugby Arms gets my vote too.
hello again - i have now got the webiste nearly finished so if you look at the directions page there is a map and a link to a more detailed map also
Zorro's bar at the fountain end of 'Bar street' also shows Rugby league if you are a fan, strangely I had an uncle who I was named after was a St Helen's player in the late forties, when he passed away he had a huge following to his final resting place in St Helen's including in the procession the Mayor of that time..
jim - as my brother is the forwards coach for paphos tigers you will be please to know he is also a big union fan - so don't be shy and pop in and say hello next time theres an RU game you want to watch with a decent pint
Get them to contact me for there match schedules...I could post them on our announcements section...
i dont know who their webmaster is jim - but their schedule could be easily linked to on their home page here:
How long does it take to get good at rugby? I want to start playing rugby, I'm 14 and some kids started playing when they were about 9. I feel like i am way behind and that its too late for me to start playing. So i was wonderin how long does it take to get good at it.
