:welcome fellow Saint

The Rugby Arms on Ikarou Street is owned by Graham (from St Helens) a former chef. He and Jeanette took over the bar last year and made us very welcome when we watched a couple of matches in there last summer. It's a very friendly place and you're guaranteed to see the Superleague with no-one switching channels to the football or cricket.

pm me if you'd like directions.

Thanks for the replies - Jims sounds good but if there is a fellow "sintellinser" out there I will have to look him up and spend some Euros there! ;)

I will work out how to send a pm to get directions.

Do they do food?

Hi mate.

I hope this is OK, but The Rugby Arms is my brothers place - here is a thread from last year that the mods kindly let me post : http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=97383&hilit=rugby

Anyway, I am currently building a website for him - its work in progress but have a look at http://www.rugbyarms.com

A map and menu will be upped soon.

I have even given holiday truths a link on the front page - i am sooo generous!!

Cheers

Zorro's bar at the fountain end of 'Bar street' also shows Rugby league if you are a fan, strangely I had an uncle who I was named after was a St Helen's player in the late forties, when he passed away he had a huge following to his final resting place in St Helen's including in the procession the Mayor of that time..

Me I am a big Union fan...what ever have a good time..

How long does it take to get good at rugby? I want to start playing rugby, I'm 14 and some kids started playing when they were about 9. I feel like i am way behind and that its too late for me to start playing. So i was wonderin how long does it take to get good at it.
