Yes, you must go to a restaurant, Le quinzy nits, it's half way down the Ramblas on the left in Placa Real. Don't let the queue put you off going in as its very organised and you will be inside in no time. I think it opens a 8pm.
We went to the cava bar el xampanyet and loved the atmosphere, the tapas and the cava! We are returning to Barcelona in 2 weeks time, and this is top of our list.
You'll have to queue so don't go if you're starving, hang around they will seat you.
It's the best tapas in Barcelona.
