One of the oldest spots to try is the upstairs balcony of the Mandovi Hotel it's a nice spot to have a beer, very nostalgic, and feels like a throwback to another age Its very close to both the cruise jetty and the Delhi Durbar Alan
i assume its a hotel and anyone can walk in then yes?will give it a try mate.we normally go to the deli durbhar ten back to the resort i want to try and make the evening of it instead of going straight back to the resort after our meal.regards les
Delhi Durbar - I heard that it burned down last year.
hi pete - yes, i think there was a fire. it's now open, was there in january this year. great service and food. had a terrific night, it was my girlfriend's 30th...starters, mains, desserts, champagne (sula..the only one to have in goa) all for under £40.
my girlfriend has just reminded me, she was also given a watch and a bottle of port by the restaurant !!! (i think the sula had gone to my head by that stage )
As for the cruise boat trip - it's worth it. Go for the 6.00pm cruise and get the sunset shots.
cheers spike will do m8
i have to back you up on the cruise trips on the Mandovi River, did that in march then off to Delhi Durbar to finish off a great night. One thing about the cruise is that the Indians head to the dance floor when the music starts, entertaining to say the least, drink on board is cheap, Go their and enjoy yourselves im sure you will
apologies fiona.
