Are all of the bars open in the main centre of Puerto Rico this year? I was there last year and half of them seemed to be closed.

All the bars and restaurants are back and open again. Last year, a number were shut due to the power being switched off for what was supposed to be a week that turned into about 2 months!
Some are closed and always are in august it is when they take their holidays.

im in quick need of good places to eat, my parents are in amadores at the moment they cant find a decent meal1 please help!
they are staying at the Gran Amadores apartments in Amadores so good restaurants in either Amadores or peurto rico are needed!

Ones that we enjoy Oscars,Sabidans,Las Vagas,Churchills in Puerto Rico hope they find them.
Would suggest Bistro Salsa for lunch (and dinner if theyre open for it), El Brasero, which is up at the Europa Centre, facing over the hill. Red Rose in Puerto Base. Memphisto in the main puerto rico CC. El Gaitero in the CC above puerto base (Agua la Perra). Oscars over looking puerto escala. Depends alot on your folks budget and likes/dislikes.... Guantanamos in Tauro is nice to but a bit out the way.

Portofino on amardores is great and caters for all tastes.

just heard from mum and dad, they have tried a few of the restaurants that you all kindly recomended. san miguel has got a massive que every night they have tried! they said it was shockingly busy!

My partner and I, (together with a periodically petulant 16 year-old lad), will be staying at the Vistaflor apartments for a week at the end of October.
Would appreciate any recommendations for restaurants - English, international & spanish cuisine. Any tips to keep Teen boredom at bay would also be welcome. Are there any go-kart/jeep safari places nearby?

American restauraunts in PDI/Maspalomas?
Is there anywhere in Maspalomas or PDI that does spare ribs and that sort of thing?

There is a HARD ROCK CAFE in PDI, (google it) and in EL GAUCHOS behind the big church near the kasbah they do the most amazing ribs.
anyone recommend any good family bars in maspolomas please, just need to be a bit carefull with strobe lighting ect... due to the 2yr old having epilepsy, as she went into a few wobblers so to speak last year in tenerife. we sit outside if possible, so if there is any goods ones with outside seating aswell, that will be great

Visited Gran Canaria in November and we took a taxi to Meloneras which is really close to Maspalomas (only cost a few euro) There were some really nice restaurants down at the front with seating outside - sorry can't remember specific names. Give it a try - its a lovely place with nice shops too and it's a bit of a change from PDI or Maspalomas. Didn't appear to be strobe lighting etc when we visited but not sure if this might be different at height of season.

just come back from puerto rico gran canaria. my wife and i went to Yogi and Bennys once again. It is under new owners. It is great we was a bit worried where to eat as we have a 18 month old girl, food is good they even told us they will do smaller meals for our daughter and she loved it.they loved her and she loved them we went there every day for breakfast and dinner very very friendly cant do enough for you this place is a must.
Of to Puerto Rico on the 20 July, staying at the Altamar, need a resturant recommendation, want some were with good food and very child freindly, if it has a play area all the better 
!!!.It will also be a bonus if they serve some gorgoeus cocktails to as it will be my birthday so are looking to have a good time

We stayed in the Colina Mar apartments up by Europa Centre and we tried a lot of the restaurants up there.
El Toro Negro-beautiful steak, very god service
Flicks-cracking brekkie and steak pie on Wednesday I think it was.
Gran Hong Kong-Lovely Chinese
Little Italy-Nice chicken and Lasagne (according to junior)
Lord Byron-great meals and service was fantastic
Garoe Restaurant Grill- Good value 3 course meal for 9.90 euros. We had Prawn Cocktail followed by grill chicken breast and ice cream. Service very good and the lady PR was lovely.

Three excellent places sampled in the last two weeks... Los Brasos, a Scandinavian steakhouse, opposite the Barbican apartments; Yellow Rose, a friendly, cosy litle Italian adjacent to the Chapparal centre, and the Tex-Mex at the Koka apartments. Concur, too, with the Hong Kong Chino mentioned above.
