I am going to Thailand in October and am looking for some sandals that I can wear both on the beach and in the sea for swimming and getting in and out of boats etc. I cant wear 'thong' type sandals as I have a bunion which I hate to expose! plus I hate the feel of the thong bit between my toes!
I have a great pair of walking type sandals that I wore last year but they are a soft material and take ages to dry, does anyone know of an enclosed type sandal that is waterproof? Ive searched the net but cant find anything suitable.
Thanks
Hi stace,have you thought about Crocs? my daughter lent me some of hers when I went to Cornwall a few weeks ago.They are very light,and a soft plasticky material.I'm going to buy some as they will be great on the stony beaches when I walk my dogs.T.
I'll have a hunt for the receipt so I can post a link to the website I bought them from
***Update*** I've found them on the Speedo website They didn't have them in stock last year so bought from another site, but they're on their now and only £10.....Bargain as I think I paid £17.

Hi thanks for the replies, the speedo shoes look great and are a definate option but they are a bit too much like a trainer, ideally I am looking for a sandal type. I have a pair similar to crocs and I love them but dont think they will stay on my feet if I go swimming or jump off a boat.
Crocs are fine in the water although they tend to be so buoyant swimming is an art, however if they do come off the ywill be floating by your side
How about some Jelly Shoes/Sandals? picture here....
Forgot to add, they also do sandals, just google Jelly Shoes, some only cost from £5.....
If you robbed a bank or won the lottery you could try these;
Hi, Stace. If you look up JJB Sports online and put Angelina 11 in the search bar, you will get very suitable shoes for less than £3 which you could wear in the sea.
Sorry, Stace. Just enter Angelina. miss out the 11.
