Most of the shops and markets out there sell beach towels quite cheaply and you can usually haggle, especially if you need more than one. Don't be tempted to buy from the shops in the hotels as prices are always higher there for everything.

thanks for the reply wife wants to bring our own ones as we normaly do but if we could get decent cheap ones it would mean 1 case less for me to lugg about then just ditch them when we leave there is 5 of us but somehow we always end up taking 7 towels

Might be best to pop into Sousse as things tend to be cheaper there than in PEK in my experience.
