What would you recommend someone who has been to Goa 3 times already does apare from spend time on the beach and rest?
We've been on most of the trips within Goa over the years, visited markets, beaches way up north and south, we just wondered if we're missing anything.
Also its my Birthday while we're there- any ideas for a fab restaurant- we're staying in Calangute this time
try the after 7 or if its a sunday the buffet at the Marriot is lovely
have you done the following trips?
Dudsager Waterfalls
Hampi (depends if you like trains, ancient culture and early mornings)
Mumbai
Tiger/Jungle safari
Polly
Try the floating palace, a restored rice boat, the trip is overnight, the food was wonderful, it has 4 beths and takes 8 people, it was a nice outing for a special occasion,
Ray.
I can tell you where you can book the Rice Boat trip if that's any use?
The boat that I know of is owned by Kennedy (the owner of Kamaki amongst other things). His office is on the Baga road directly opposite Shooters Bar - (near subway)
Hope this is helpful, GFF xx
Calhorn if you are into nature and all things natural I'd recommend a place called Wildernest up in the Chorla Ghats, it's beautiful. It's expensive but worth every rupee IMO. You can book on-line or through Footprints in Candolim, not sure if Daytripper have it on their books yet?
GFF xx
Thanks GFF, I'll have a look when I'm there.
Alishamoonbeam went there last year and said it was absolutely fantastic
http://www.melotours.com but have offices in candolim and were very helpful. I can't remember how much the trip was, but will let you know when I go back. You are picked up locally and taken to the boat Nr Panjim where you are given high tea, sarnies cakes tea & coffee, a sunset cruise and then dinner which had so many courses it never seemed to end, drinks were not included in the price, the only downside was we moored by a temple which started the very loud amplified music at 4am and went on for several hours, I think It was a special festival and not a normal occurance, but may be wise to check

Hi dribyar, I booked the floating palace through melotours, they have a website Lin
Ray
If you like a little flutter the floating Casino is a good night out, you get an all inclusive night [not including betting chips] but book it independently, good fun, and a great restaurant,
Lin
Ray
Thanks for the tips all
