Only know of a wine festival that's taking place in Valletta and Gozo but didn't know there was a beer festival! Could you please let me have the details you know about ie venue & dates etc?

Thanks for info, might try to get there on the saturday 5th. Hope they
have something other than beer though. I took my wife to the
Stockport beer festival (having told her there was wine available) and
it turned out the only alternative to beer was cider which she hates.
Where is Ta'Qali Park. Is it far from St Pauls Bay ??

Hi Steve, Ta Qali is almost bang slap in the middle of Malta the 86 bus will take you near there from Bugibba / Qawra bus station, incidentally as an ex CAMRA member I too have been to stockport beer festival on many occasions and very good it used to be.

Hi Sliema2,

I am also an ex-Camra member. Although I love the taste of good real ale I just couldn't keep up with the other members and it certainly wasn't doing me any good health wise. I have to say that I was a bit dismayed about the 'new' hopleaf because although it has a terrific taste, it also has a higher alcohol content. I'd prefer to drink more without feeling the effects so quickly if you know what I mean, - especially when in hot sunny Malta,

Hi Trev, I was just a card carrying member but was never involved in any campaigns etc, it just came in handy as we used to get in to beer festivals for free, I jacked it in when our local CAMRA branch started becoming a bit to big for there boots and taking themselves a bit too seriously, I however was and still am more than capable of keeping the pace, I guess it was just a gift I was born with
