Off to Belgium for a week (w/c 9 Nov) and staying in Ghent as it's central fror Antwerp, Brugges & Brussels and have managed to sort a superb apartment for a cheap cost.
Having been to Brussels previously I don't fancy taking the car into the city and having used the train service between Brussels Centre and the airport a few times thought it may be a better idea to leave the car at our apartment for the whole week and use the train instead to travel.
I've found timetables to get us from Ghent to each city but am having difficulty trying to work out if there's a cheap ticket that we could use for the week (or specifically Tuesday - Friday as we get there Monday pm) rather than pay for each journey? Any help appreciated. We know not to try and travel anywhere on the 11th - we will be staying in Ghent.
http://www.b-rail.be/nat/E/ is showing a number of ticket deals, some of which amy be of interest, such as 10 single journeys for €7.30
The SNCB website the 10 journey ticket is €73 (€7.30 per journey) but you won't be doing 5 return trips. This is valid a year so if you plan on going back later it may be of use.
the weekday prices (single) from Gent are, Brugge €5.90, Antwerpen €8.60, Brussel €8.10 so basically you may as well pay as you go.
