Hi Sarah ... while you wait for some recommendations and advice about trips, we have a separate topic about the SAN FERMIN HOTEL which may contain some useful info, or where you may like to post any additional questions specifically about the hotel.

Hi Sarah, I stayed at this hotel last year. The food was good, air con in the rooms and rooms nice. The hotel is on a hill but is not too bad. The only negative I can say was at week end the Spanish themselves came and it was more difficult to get sunbeds. You would need to get there before they start to give them out. It was I euro for the bed and the same for the brolly. I would definately go back again. It is good value for the price I paid.

theres the zoo in Fuengirola,
Crocodile park in Toremolinos
The Marina in Benalmadena is like a trip out as it's so amazing
Tivolli world theme park (more for under 10's I'd say)
Plus theres a massive park (free) called Palloma Park and it has a big lake with loads of fish and terrapins! Also jotted about the park living wild are many rabbits, chickens, etc. It really is a nice place to go any time of the day. Go on the evening for a stroll and enjoy a beer or two at one of the bars!

There is the market on Friday - half near the railway station and some in Paloma Park. If you do like markets then don't miss Fuengirola on Tuesday - catch the bus at the bottom of San Firmin Hill or go to the railway station for the train. Doesn't really matter which.
And please do not make a noise when you come home at night - I live very near San Firmin and don't like holiday makers making a noise. :rofl

Take the cable car up the mountains - get on it opposite Tivoli World - great views of the coastline.

Take the local bus up to Mijas - beautiful mountain village.

There are plenty of things to see and do on this part of the Costa Del Sol
