Hi kross ... you should find both Mundomar and Terra Natura open in March. I would have to leave other parents to answer your nappy query and make some other recommendations, but as far as flying is concerned, you may like to take a browse through our 'Flying with Children' topic to see if it has any useful info for you, and feel free to post any specific questions there that you might have about the journey.

The supermarkets do sell pampers nappies, but they are called "Dodot" over here. They also sell Huggies (with the same name), but they are VERY expensive compared to the UK. Most supermarkets sell their own brand for about half the price and they are just as good (I have a 17month old boy and I alternate between own brand and "named" brands).

When you check in at the airport, tell the person on the desk you want to keep the buggy with you until you board, they will put a ticket on the buggy (similar to the ones they put on your case), and you keep the buggy until you get to the airplane steps (or door depending how you're boarding). An airport assistant takes the buggy from you and you get it back on the carousel when you get your cases back.

Tips for entertaining him mid-flight... take a book that he likes reading, or a favourite toy to entertain him. Take a small bottle of juice or milk and a snack. (and maybe some "bribery" sweets??) Also use the bottle of drink for take off and landing (or a dummy if he still has one) to stop his ears popping (which can be VERY uncomfortable for a baby).

I've flown twice with my son so far and am due to fly again next week with him.... These things seem to work for me!!!! Hope this is helpful! :tup

Totally agree with Lisa, Nappies are very expensive in Benidorm compared to UK prices.
We always took plenty with us but have had to buy some out there.
I personally wouldn't bother with Terra Natura. The animals are spread out over a large area so a lot of walking/ pushing the buggy is involved.
Mundomar is good but make sure you time it right for the shows.
The first seal show is 12.15 and the first Dolphin show is 1.30. There is another show later in the afternoon although I am not sure of the times. You won't have to pay for your son as its free for under 3's. Macdonalds were giving a voucher away with a happy meal that entitled you to either a free child entrance or half price adult. They accepted the voucher for half price adult even though I didn't have to pay for my son.
If your son still has milk before bed quite a few British supermarkets sell Cravendale milk it is just under €2 for 2 pints.

If you need baby milk, supermarkets sell powdered milk and there's a 1 year and older ready made milk called Crecimiento (my son drinks this!). All the baby milk and nappies are in the "baby food aisle"... The Quick Save supermarket sells small cartons of Cow & Gate baby milk and little packs of english nappies but they are VERY expensive compared to the UK (obviously!)

Kross please ensure your holiday insurance is sorted for the trip.

Over here now they are been very rigid withreguards hospital treatment at Villajoyosa Hospital this is the hospital just outside Benidorm which is used for NHS treatment and emergencies.

The reason why i am saying this is that they have clamped down on hospital treatment for UK expats and holiday makers who are not either registered or are without insurance over the last few months.

I hope you do not need any medical treatment and have a great holiday.
