The Dunas Paraiso in the same resort gets fair reviews, but I get the impression it's not as good as the Bahia Principe Tenerife or Costa Adeje.
Although there are some others (eg Villa Tagoro), I can't honestly think of any that are up with the BPT or BPCA.

Might be worth thinking about one of the other islands if you fancy a change. The Papagayo Arena in Playa Blanca on Lanzarote gets good reviews and seems to be similar in style and quality to the Bahia Principe.

We've just come back from the BPT and as much as I like it there are a few things that could be better :

The entertainment 'place' (pueblo principe) is not all inclusive.
The bars close at 23.00
A lot of paperwork/hassle over towels, extra keys, safety deposit boxes.
Every taxi and coach assumes you stay at the Adeje (including the return transfer)

But having said that, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to friends and family. The only better all incs are in the Carribean in my experience.

Totally agree with your comments about the BPT, especially the Pueblo Principe not being all-inc, that was really annoying and frankly spoilt the evenings.
Also disliked the scratchy all-inc wrist bands. If they can do without them at the likes of Sandals in the Caribbean then I don't see why Bahia Principe can't do the same.
