salinas beach in the south of the island, just down from the airport is fab, justg go past the salt flats and you''ll reach it.

we're also going end of May to Figuretas again!
Figuretas beach is great as is Playa D'en Bossa! The sea is very shallow and not at all rough!

Not been on many beaches in Ibiza but have been to 2 of the ones mentioned. Playa Den Bossa was great sand and waves, but the waves may have been a bit strong for toddlers, and hopefully it has changed by now but there were a couple of people trying to kitesurf along the beach meaning everyone else had to get out of the water for their own sakes!.
At the HOtel Fiesta Tanit where the little beach is behind the hotel, handy for nipping back up for a drink in between swims, but there are a few rocks in the water on one side. Just around the headland (200 metres or so) further away from San An was a lovely little sheltered shallow sandy bay which may be better for toddlers.

Stayed at the sirenis club playa, cala llonga. Nice all inclusive hotel about 2 minutes from the beach. Absolutely lovely beach, and only payed about £1600 for 2 adults and 2 kids, mind it was 3 years ago

Hi cee cha,
There are some wonderful beaches all over the island and if you look hard enough you can find an area that seems undiscovered by the madding crowds that gather each summer. Figurettes as mentioned has an excellent beach, and the water is shallow at the northern end of the beach (before the rock jetty), going out to around forty feet or so from the edge of the shore before it gets to deep for small children to stand.

If you get the chance hop onto one of the island ferries and go over to Formentera and check out Platja Illettes, its very easy to find just head up from the marina where your boat will most likely dock and keep crossing the marina till you see a small path at the back of the scuba shop. Follow that and it will lead you to Platja Illettes which is a clothing optional beach and is very popular with young familes, especailly the Spanish from the islands.

The water here is very warm, much warmer than on Ibiza most of the time and is a very bright azure or turquiouse colour that is amazing, but best of all it is so shallow that even toddlers can paddle in safety under the watchful eye of mum and dad of course.

If you need any more information please just pm me or send me an email.

Hope this helps,
Marc

Hiya,
Cala Pada which is situated between Santa Eulalia and Es Cana takes all the beating as far as children go, it is as safe as anywhere that i know on the island (I have been going to Ibiza for over 20 years ). At least take a look and decide for yourselves .
All the best Aly

I've been going to Cala Llonga for over 20 years and would say that it has the cleanest and safest beach on th island.

The water has a very shallow entry and is safe for toddlers. I have to wade out about 50 yards before it is up to my waist and I'm not very tall.
