The Mrs just loves it in the Central Department store in Chit Lom. If we could bring back some of the household items we would (china,furniture, dinnerware etc). The clothing in these stores is of very good quality..problem is its in Thai sizes ...its hard to get something for us westerners. Some good handbags - not for me I hasten to add.

I've also had some glasses done in Thailand...excellent opticians and keen prices.

We are going to bangkok this summer. Have heard the shopping is fab. My teenage daughter is not so impressed. She thinks it will not be that brill. She is into designer clothes and accessories - playboy is her favourite at present. Can anyone tell me if there is playboy clothing, bags etc. in bangkok.

Have to agree about Central- that was our favourite one as well.
Debs- not sure about playboy but Paragon in Siam Square will have it!That is the place for teens.

Bought some undies in Central once...I just love the way they call it mens furnishings.

Fiona...did you take in Siam Paragon then? Its very swish, though the prices did not seem to keen - of course it is the real top end designer stuff on some of the floors.

we did go to Paragon. I looked at the designer bags and shoes and was disappointed to see that the ones I looked at were no cheaper than the UK. ( In Singapore I found them to be about 40% cheaper). Husband was after a specific running shoe and found them to be DEARER! Not sure about clothes as I didn't pay attention to them.
