Not sure where the Best Hotel is in Benalmadena but the Hotel Don Pablo is in Torremolinos and it it's on a complex with the Don Marco and Don Pablo hotels. It really just depends if you want to go to Benalmadena or Torremolinos. I would recommend both places.

The Best hotel is at the other end of Benalmadena, we thought it was quite far out.We stayed at the hotel Siroco(3*) another best hotel which was very good and close to the marina, the hotel Triton (4*) another best hotel was across and along the road slightly (nearer to the marina ) it looked lovely too.

Note that, although the Best Benalmadena is "quite far out" as previously stated, it is on the beach.

The hotel is situated on the road to Fuengirola, just before you come to the Torrequebrada Casino. I walked to the Ha'penny Bridge bar in about 5 minutes which is nothing.

Walking to the Marina or to Bonanaza Square takes around 30 minutes, but the regular bus, (every 15 minutes), stops outside the hotel and costs only one euro all the way along to the centre of Torremolinos. It takes 5 minutes to reach the marina.

As walking is such a pleasure in a sunny climate, I wouldn't let it put you off. The adjacent Sunset Beach Club is also very popular with tourists, especially the Irish.

The Sunset Beach Club has an excellent website with an expandable map which will show you the exact location.

Sealife isn't exactly huge, although there is a lot to see that is interesting. Personally, I prefer Selwo as it has live dophin, seal and bird shows. It is located behind Paloma Park.

You can also visit Tivoli World, two flume parks, the Aligator park going into Torremolinos or simply take the cable car (Telecabina) from Arroyo to the top of Monte Calamorro, where you can see Africa on a clear day and visit the eagle shows up there.

There are also many excursions woth going on.

As for good bars on the way to the marina, they ware too numerous to mention, especially if you go along the Paseo Maritimo on the front.

Me persoanlly, I would go to the Don Pedro.
You can use the facilities of the Don Pablo and Don Marco.
You can walk up to Torremolinos train station and go to Malaga or Fuengirola, stopping off at Arroyo de Miel.

The Don Pedro/pablo/marco is virtually on the beach...only a small road to cross...not a motorway
There are plenty of bars around the hotel and Torremolinos centre is only a short walk away or 4 Euros in a taxi.....and a nice steady walk back downhill to your hotel.
Or you can walk all the way from the Don Pedro to Benalmadena on the beautiful flat promenade.

No contest IMO.

All Three hotels are next to each other, a hop and a skip apart. :D...and a hop away from the beach.

Your choice mate. I can`t comment on the actual facilities in the Don Pedro, cos, I`ve never actually stayed there.....
Maybe someone else who has, will advise you more.
