The sunset from there is sensational, and along a bit are the famous haunts of Cafe Mambo, Cafe de Mar etc, and often there are fire eaters, and street entertainers around that the little boy would like to watch..
Hope you have a wonderful time - we're leaving Sunday for a trip there, and i can't wait to eat at Sugar Sea again.

Got to agree with Lizzie, you can only get decent sunsets on that side onthe island by watching the sun set into the sea. Sugarsea, mambo and cafe del mar might be a little too busy for you depending on what time of year you go, i would recommend the same area but a restaurant/bar called Coastline which has a raised restaurant above the sea where sunsets are both romantic and moving without the hectic party atmosphere of mambo, cafe del mar and to some extent sugar sea.
where are the above bars in relation to San Antonio, are they around the coast towards Cala Gracio ?
I am not sure of the name of the cala but they are just north of the town which is the opposite side of where the bay is

if you click on the second link, they are in the top right hand corner, in the first link they are next to the number one or the hotel tannit
Yes I thought that was them, a nice stoll from thr Hotel Tanit.
you get a amazing sun set from this area.
Robert.
What we and a lot of people do is just to buy cans , wine or whatever at a shop on the way and take a towel to sit on the rocks. Its 10 times cheaper and you have your own space to chill .
Also, if your in Calla Longa - have one night out in Santa Eulalia (prob about £5 in taxi) - and visit Ibiza Town one evening (about £10 taxi fare from Cala)
Benirras in the north of the island is beautiful, there is a little beach bar where you can get a baguette and drink for about 5 euros, or there are 3 restaurants one of which specialises in fish. The parking is free there too and the atmosphere there is really chilled, we went there twice in the week and each time there was a great group of local hippies playing the drums and dancing until the sun finally faded.
My favourite has to be Cala Comtes west of Port des Torrent though. This is breathtaking as your whole field of view is taken up with sunset. Again we didn't need to pay for parking, there are toilets and a couple of places to eat too. Alot of the locals we met agreed that this was their favourite place to be at sunset. And if your into photography you can get some amazing shots to take home the memory.
Both locations would be ideal for families, and they are the main reason I intend to go back with mine in the next few weeks so they can experience it themselves. Enjoy!
The taxi fare from St Eulalia to Cala Llonga last week was 9.80 euros at about 22:30hrs, it's cheaper during the day. We went there by bus, 1.15 euro, but unfortunately after about 20:00hrs they go to bed.
