We would like to get away for a week or so in May, which is earlier than we usually would go. Any thoughts on a best destination for some sun? I know some countries that are very hot in summer can take a while to heat up and the weather doesn't 'settle down' until mid june.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Almost anywhere in the Caribbean ; in "Europe" - Canaries or Cyprus possibly Rhodes or Southern Turkey ??
Puerto Rico Gran Canaria....yes hot hot hot.
We went to Malta in May and it was lovely weather 
If your looking for high temperatures, definitely Egypt ... guaranteed high 80's low 90's in May with NO rain:-)
Mauritius is a grat place!! but it is better around January-February
