Hi,
Me and a friend are looking for cheap holidays (£400 per person budget) for AI. Any suggestions as to the cheapest but still nice places in Turkey. I really like the look of some of the resorts here (Water slides ) But have no idea where to go or where to choose. We are 16 and 18 and just want a nice AI hotel with decent pools (water slides if possible ) near a beach and with a reasonable nightlife. We aren't looking to go out getting drunk every night but going out once or twice would be nice.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks

Beware the cheaper AIs can turn out to be a nightmare.Dont book any named Litera.
If you see a hotel you like the look of ,read the reviews before you book.
I have looked at Green Beach Resort and I must say have been taken by it, Thomas Cook are doing a good deal atm so I think I am going to go for that one. Has anyone been there that would recommend it?
Is this the hotel Thomas Cook are offering.
Also the 16 year old in your party with be given a different colour AI wristband than the adult one and wont be able to get alcoholic drinks!
popular area like icemeler, marmaris, hisaronu and olu deniz are worth a bit of research lots of people will like many different areas of turkey i haven't found one i dont like but thats me, so research and read through the hotel revioews and look throught the forum loads of info on here good luck and enjoy your holiday
Yeah this is what Thomas Cook are offering. Are they that bad? I thought they looked reasonable lol. Shows my inexperience I guess. Thomas Cook are offering it to us for £404 pp flights and everything and I am purchasing insurance separately from Direct Line for £18pp. Although its a little over our budget we thought the hotel looked lovely. I'm not so sure now lol.
i don't recommend as this can come back and haunt you but there are some serious good deals out there marmaris or hisaronu or olu deniz are good areas so is icelmer thats a good start
OK, just some names of some hotels you have stayed at? I'm getting so frustrated at having to trawl through thousands of internet sites lol.
If you look at hotels on Tripadvisor in a chosen resort, they are ordered by popularity so you stand a good chance of finding a decent one if you choose one of the most popular.
Good luck, hope you have a great holiday!
peninsular.
Have a look at the reviews on Trip Advisor and Holiday watchdog, they are dire
It seems expensive especially as the 16 year old will not be able to get alcoholic drinks in an AI hotel.
I dont stay in AI hotels in Turkey as I prefer B&B as the Turkish food in the local restaurants is lovely.
It may work out cheaper for you to go B&B or Half Board.
Thanks for your help, I'll go have a look now and let you know. As for going AI, we have both agreed we would rather do that as it means we can pay up front and not worry about spending money etc. As we're both students this way is easier and means we can just relax and enjoy without worrying about money when we're there. Also, I would just get us both alcoholic drinks should we want them. As neither of us are massive alcoholics we don't mind that much.
Its the Kervansaray and I remember people getting dropped off there when we were in the Bodrum area 2 years ago.
Some were return visitors but this hotel is also in a quiet area.
Good luck with your search ,and as long as you look at the reviews before you book you should find something suitable.
One you could have a look at that is ok for a cheap AI is the Eken Resort Hotel in Gumbet. I'm not sure about water slides but it does have a decent pool and is near the beach and close to the nightlife of Gumbet. There is a very good water park you can go on a trip to as well.
I don't know when you are planning on going but if you plan to go high season you may not get much for £400 AI, bearing in mind that flights cost approx. £300 alone, that doesn't leave much for accomodation, food and drink, especially if you are talking 2 weeks. You really do get what you pay for with AI hotels and if it is really appaling you will have to go out and eat and that will put up the price of your holiday.
I hope you find something. Coma back and let us know the hotel you chose before you book and we can let you know if it is a decent place or not.
Sorry, I should of said. We are planning to go now on around the 4th of July so just before peak season when our exams are over. Only going for 1 week as well. I will check out what you suggested, thanks!

Its not a recommendation, because I have no idea what is like, but it's a good reduction so may be worth researching the hotel and seeing if it sounds OK.
Even if this is no good you should be able to get something reasonable for a week out of school hols for the price you want to pay.
Regarding my last post, apologies I've just seen its not for the dates you are looking for, I just scanned it and read it wrong the first time. Sorry!
Aa dammit! It looked wicked. By the way, I am only looking at Turkey because it seemed to be the cheapest. Are there any other countries/areas I should be looking at too?
Right I have looked around and found the Tuntas Hotel in Altinkum. It seems to have good reviews and is good for me although the pool does look rather small. I will talk this over with my girlfriend and see but the pool size will be a problem. Why can't this just be easy?! lol
Not to worry Ben, ten yards from the entrance to the Tuntas you've got a beautiful beach and the sea !!
After some advice from parents, etc we have decided to wait and book a last minute deal when it gets nearer the time as we are actually not that bothered what country, etc we go to so we figured this will be the cheapest way. Thanks for all your help and I'll let you know what happens and will be sure to leave a review of wherever I go.
