Thinking of booking a holiday for next summer to the island. Never been before so will need a bit of advice as to were to take the wife and family?
Were both in our forties and the kids ages are: 16-15-13-12
Would Santa Eulalia be too quite?
Also were is the waterpark situated?
Any info would be good.
The water park is in Playa Den Bossa which would be a good choice, however i reckon San Antonio Bay would be your best bet.
The resort isn't too big so you can give them freedom to roam and not be worried.Charlies bar attracts a lot of teenagers between 16 and 17 if you allow theolder ones the odd drink.
We have always gone to hotels were we know there will be other teenagers and they have made friends and had a great time with their peers. We stayed in the Caribe last August anf found this ideal.
Santa E although a much bigger resort doesn't seem to have much for teenagers really and attracts younger families and couples.
I second Es Cana - went in July with two 16 year old girls and they loved it and agree about Charlies bar - there was loads of young people there when we went in. They and I (in my 40's) loved Thursday nights in there when Brotherhood were playing, an excellent night.
I have just got back from San Antonio where I was visiting my daughter. I took my 19 year old with me who would of loved the place with her mates but we spent evenings in San An bay where it is more for families and I felt more comfortable at night. Es Cana is also very good for teenagers, went there a couple of years ago and its very safe with plenty going on. I agree that San An Bay or Es Cana are the best places for teens
if you are offered puerto san miguel as a resort do not go-we really loved it there, but our children are 5 and 9 and just wanted beach and sea and were in bed by 10-10.30 so the resort suited us, but it would be soooooo boring for your teenagers!
However, it isn't a good choice of resort for anyone who likes shopping/ visiting different bars or restaurants every evening as it is so small - all activies are mainly restricted to the hotel complex.
We have changed the date of our holidays here each year from mid July to the end of August but a lot of families book to go at the same time each year as their children make friends and meet up again the following year.
It very much depends on the type of holiday you are looking for.
I deffinetley agree with Dylan about Puerto San Miguel. We have been going since my daughter was 13, and she stil wants to go at 16! Theres plenty for all teenagers throughout the day and night, so it would be a very good choice in holiday
try playa den bossa if you need day and night life.i dont just mean for teens for everyone of all ages, nice resort lots to do.and nearer town ect,no waiting for a bus that just runs a few times a day.infact i would forget the travel agents as well.do it diy,you go when you want for as long as you want,i have stayed in Puerto San Miguel only for a weekend and thank god it was only for the weekend,i did it all in 2 hours shops bars checked it all out, good job i had a car,i know its fine for most folks but if i had teens they would be bored to death.its just that hill that really put me off.to get to san miguel.you really have to try all the resort 1st to fine one that suits you.it takes a few years but well worth it.say best to get a car and check all the places out.if i need a nice quite hols i go to cala longa.but this time of year i go to pdb.mine you the bay area is very nice.reminds me of blackpool.so long a road to walk on lots to see and enjoy.all i can say is get out and look at ibiza.i did in 83 and thats why i go back 3/4 times a year, something just draws you back.i went to zante last year oct.but i really missed ibiza.its the people who run the bars/shops/hotels ect. that really make you feel welcome.anyway don;t slag me off ...ibiza pro since 83
we absolutely LOVED puerto san miguel-our opinion re teenagers were based on what we saw and heard during our holiday.but we will be really pleased if we can keep going back there when ours are teenagers-as our children are still quite young
you should look at the seaview country club in port de torrent on the edge of san antonio bay. great for teenagers we have stayed here twice all the young ones get on well loads to do
Need help we are travelling with 2 x 15 year old girls hopefully to Es cana would anyone who has been recommend this resort and which apartments would be best for them and of course mum and dad

was just wondering if anyone knows anything about the pontiente apartments in san antonio. I am travelling there in august with a party of seven, which includes four 16year olds a 9 year old and my 70 years young mother. Any info would be welcome. Cheers.
Click Here For our reviews of the Poniente Hotel if it's the same as the apartments
Its such a livley and freindly resort with loads to do. We have sayed there twice now at the great family orientated Hotel Caribe.
Santa Eulalia is nice but very quiet!
Hope this helps aswell.
