Hi there.
I'd be very grateful for any advice regarding the best located rooms at the Ib. Daiquiri (got to off the ground floor) and how long before departure would be the best time to email ahead and TRY to request one?
Many thanks & best wishes.
David
we were in matanza block, close to the beach, the ground floor rooms have a nice garden patio away from the hustle and bustle, you dont get any noise from the bar area entertainment and although the pool is around the corner you would not know as it's very peacful, the block next to matanza is varadero and is also of the same theme, quiet but central to all the facilities and has rooms with a sea view-we emailed the hotel 14 days beofre arrival asking for a quiet area, tope floor room and got just that, they also replied within 5 minutes
i would also advise you to request a room which is not above reception, as this area is used as a lobby bar and may get a little loud at night-although it wont be until late, aside from that theese rooms in this block are also furthest away from the beach and over looke the pool.
This map of the resort may give you some help of understanding the resort layout.
