Which one would poeple recommend to buy.
Rough Guide? AA travel guide?
So many books, so much information
Stick with these forums, best travel guide around, warts and all. you can,t buy that.
Hello gillymiff, I agree with vee dee about this site being the best, if you know what to ask about. I find that of the many guides that I have used over the years the best one is the, Cadogan Guide to Malta/Gozo & Comino by Simon Gaul. Try your local Library to see what they have before you buy one.
I agree, this site is a mine of very useful info, unfortunately I can't take it with me on holiday!

But you can print off or write down any useful snippets.

I will come with you Gilly and be your personal guide
I've always used the Rough Guide's. They are the best in my opinion for real travellers:
the Time Out one is good
I'm with Dave on this deffinitely the Cadogan Guide book, has our years now and it still tells me stuff I didn't know.
I opened a word document and scoured the forum using the search facility and just copied all the useful stuff unto the one document as and when i came across it and printed it before we went...i also copied stuff in from various other websites.and from the PM's and responses i got when asking questions on this site.....i will certainly do this for our trip to Malta in November.
