Where do they take you too then?

Nowhere, it's a return trip.http://bestsmileys.com/lol/1.gif
Based in Ayia Napa, it tours villages in the Napa/Protaras area.
It can also be hired privately for parties etc.

This trip is well worth doing. Don't know why someone hadn't thought of it before. Good commentary throughout and takes you right up to the border.

Yes been on it and it shows you up close and personal the old villages, the conflicted border, varying historic landmarks and such... well worth every penny and we bought a DVD of extra photos as well !

Please, if you are a Cyprus lover and don't want to upset your Cypriot friends - don't refer to it as the border.

You can call it the green line, which is how it's commonly known and you go through via a check point or crossing point.

It's still a very contentious subject and the "Cyprus Problem" is aired on a daily basis with much enthusiasm (and other things) on another forum. The forum is certainly not for the faint hearted - but if you're a bit of a daredevil, just google cyprus-forum and have a peek.

Whoops - sorry - I should know better! It is of course the green line or UN buffer zone.
Anyone wanting to input comments on other forums on the division of the island make sure you are well read about the history of Cyprus and know your facts otherwise I'm afraid getting involved on these forums can just desend into personal slanging matches.

Hey, no worries CyprusJunkie :)

However, it is only one cyprus forum that has a multitude of threads on the Cyprus Problem.

I do post on there too but try to steer clear of anything political ;)

I do wish the island could be reunited but I honestly believe it's a long, long way away.... the feelings are still much too raw - on both sides. For anyone who hasn't visited the north, it does make for an interesting trip. The visitors centre at the top of Debenhams (ex Woolworths) on Ledra Street (the main shopping street), gives a great view too. You can now walk through the newly opened crossing point on Ledra Street (just make sure you have your passports with you) for a day out with a difference.

Keo on the south side and Efes on the north :cheers

I would love to have a look at the north but my other half has very strong views on the subject and simply will not "cross the line". Sadly I can't see any resolution for a long time to come.

The information about two brothers running the red bus, or D Tutton running the Buiseness is very missleading. The two brothers which includes D Tutton are only two of the partners of a total od five. The other working partner is David Williams who drives the bus and had the original idea.
That said I must agree that it was great value for money.

dbw......David Williams, perhaps?
Cynical, me? As if.

Whatever - it is a great idea and I wish them all the very best with their venture.

Well, yes, so do I.
And, if I'm allowed after the above ( ) I may well give it a whirl next time we are up that way.
