there is a place on the mediterraneo that does bike hire,it is on the beach side of it near the rincon.

Diane ... no recent experience, but Marco Polo Expeditions certainly used to be one of the better companies in terms of price, maintenance of bikes, etc. They are located at the Belroy Hotel on Avenida Europa, just next to the junction with Avenida Mediterraneo. You can hire by the day or half day.

It would be worth comparing them against any others who are recommended.
