I'm not the best person to answer this, but could it be that the places for sale in Altinkum are so cheap because it's Turkey and Turkey isn't the safest place to own property ? Also think about the costs of getting to and from Turkey. I've no idea what bluebayproperties is like to buy from though.

Well Mike, Turkey is not as yet in the EC, so you may not have the legal backup you might wish, and it IS an Islamic country, albeit currently being governed by the laicity .......... and learning the language and its nuances takes a hell of a lot longer than most European languages (though I'll concede Albanian and Greek!)
