Boeing cancels test flights of 787 after reports of fire in the cockpit
Boeing has cancelled test flights of its much-delayed 787 Dreamliner after one of the aircraft had to make an emergency landing yesterday.
The aircraft was forced to land in south Texas after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit.
The company's shares fell 3.4% following the incident, adding to concerns that the 787's launch now faces further delays.
The aircraft, which made its maiden flight in December 2009, is already three years behind schedule.
