Don't know about a full day, we took taxis as and when we needed them - but they are a lot cheaper than in Goa. For example, from the airport to Victoria Terminus can take well over an hour depending on the time of day, it would cost around 800 - 900 Rs in Goa and it cost us about 300/400. Can't remember exactly.

They have meters too !!!

Agree a deal, say from the gateway, malabar hill, Chowpatty, Dhobi ghats, w@nkadeh stadium, Crawford Market and back to the gateway would be around 400-500 rps.

have used taxis in bombay before its better to have one booked before you arrive so you are meet at the airport, just a little bit safer.

We hired one to take us on a city tour that took a full afternoon and I think it was about 800rps. Around India gate they were asking 2500rps each!!

It's a great ciry - we loved it!
