Hi Harro, I'm not sure about lastminute.com but I have booked online with Thomsons and they just required a deposit, and then gave me a date by which the balance had to be paid. I would imagine all leading travel agents would be the same.

I've booked online with Olympic and Style holidays and they just wanted a deposit and the full balance was due approx 2 months before we travelled. That way we could save each month but got to leave the money in our account and get a bit of interest
