I've been in it. Looked overpriced to me (didn't stay though). Preferred Zazen by a country mile.

Hiya Sam - went off reviews on TA and they are all great.

is the hotel next to the Peace Resort?

Fiona - don't know - never heard of the Peace Resort!

oap, I'm obviously being a bit harsh, judging by the reviews on Trip Advisor (take with a pinch of salt anyway!). I went in, had lunch, saw the rooms, and it didn't feel right, at all. And expensive for what it was. And the staff kept telling me how much they all want to work at Santiburi (the sister hotel)!. But the Zazen gave me an immediate sense of happiness! But I always go for smaller resorts wherever possible. Not a big fan of anywhere with more than 1 storey! But i'm in the minority most likely - it could have been an off day!

just looked at it on the map and it is the one I was thinking about. We saw it being built. Good position on the beach and a short walk to Fisherman's Village. We looked at it a couple of years back to stay but I felt it was way too expensive and of course, that would also mean that if you stayed in the hotel during the day that you would spend way over the odds on drinks etc. I do agree though that it looks really nice.
