wonder if any one could help with some info.
my son has arthritis, he has to take his medication once a week, otherwise his joints siezes up. medication is by injection. do we need to bring any paperwork to show what his medication is from his doctor? or any other documentation that might be needed. we are worried about going throught the airport checks with his injection and medication.
any help or where to look up would be greatly appreciated

I also have to carry a syringe and needle through.
When I get to the check-in I tell them quietly I have same. then at screening , before bags go through I again say quietly what I am carrying and why. I have not had a problem but to be on the safe side you could also carry a repeat prescription with you.
If you are still worried get your GP to write a letter but that might cost you.
The most important thing is keep it in Hand Baggage.

I have just booked a flight via Thomsonfly and it does state specifically in their booking conditions that anyone carrying syringes should either bring their prescription or a doctor's letter. It might be a good idea to check directly with the carrier you are flying with.
