There will almost certainly be one closer, but there is definitely a Cirrus-accepting A T M at a bank in the grounds of the Paraiso hotel just down the road from the Brisa Sol.

There are certainly loads around the strip area.
Don't think you need to worry about finding one!!!!

Hi Herbieridesagain

There's a Modelo supermarket about 100 yards away from the Brisa Sol that has about six cash machines inside, (although not sure about Cirrus)but it shouldn't be a problem.

Hi,

We have just book these apartments for may for a week.

I have heard good reviews about this Hotel, can anyone give any advice on places to go in the resort for good food etc.

And what is the weather like, e.g. can we sunbathe...

Cheers

Sunbathe certainly - temperatures will be in the 70's at least. Shouldn't be an rain.

There is every sort of restaurant imaginable in Albufeira, ranging from McDonalds (you will see it from Brisa Sol) to the upmarket. Most of the good ones are about a ten minute walk away down in the old town.

Recommendation depends on what sort of food you prefer.

A restaurant definitely worth trying is O'Manjar's, its located down the hill into the old town, they do excellent steaks and its a family run restaurant so very friendly. We had walked past O'Manjar's endless times without going in then got recommended it by someone, glad we went in and will be going back there when we return in June.
Floyd's Bar is also just round the corner from the BS, a good pint and friendly people.

Going to these apartments on Monday, is there building work going on or just decorating the interior, first time to Portugal and what with the weather looking glum, the Old Town full of building work and now work going on at the apartments ( if true ), not sure I am looking forward to going now. :shrug

Got back from the Brisa last Thursday. Didn't dissapoint, was everything i remembered from our previous visit. Loved the hotel & also Albufeira itself. Spent several nights on both the strip & the old town & a couple of nights in the hotel bar with the in house entertainment + a bit of banter with the barmen particularly Vitor.

Several Icelandic guests staying whilst we were there the young lads liked their drink but were really well behaved.

Bob Sinclair featured in a free open air concert in the old town whilst we were there, thousands in the new paved concert area.

Will post my review here & on Tripadvisor shortly.

You will not be dissapointed if you stay here :tup

Cheers
