We're going back to Candolim on 15/12 for 3 weeks and want to spend a couple of days in the South but not sure where yet. We haven't been to the south before and we're wondering if we would need to pre-book somewhere to stay that time of year. We quite fancy Palolem but not decided yet.
Would you recommend pre-booking?
When we was there at Xmas last year People who had gone down to spend a few days in Palolem actually came back early as they said it was far too busy.
I can recommend Cavelossim its a lovely location with beautiful beaches that you can walk ( or hire a bike) along for miles, some parts you may not see a soul

Gaffinos or Saodomingos are 2 lovely B&B's in the Village.
Edited as I didn't answer your initial Question~~ I would say book before you go, although even on Xmas day we know People were walking in from the streets and if possible were being accommodated ......its Goa after all

Thanks Elliebee, I'll pmyou.
