Will be staying at the Cairns Colonial Club, Cairns Australia for Christmas this year.
Has anyone stayed there for previous Christmas's, was it ok?

I have been sent menus by email from the hotel which look great and are very good value.

Has anyone any recent information on how the refurbishments are going at the hotel at the moment? I have been informed that all areas of the hotel are due to be refurbished over the next 2 years, so am a bit bothered what we may find when we get there as regards building work.
