I'm sure there is a toilet block at the midway point :cheers

I dont know that there is actually. I remember daughter and hubby being gone for ages last time we were there and in the end they had to go into a bar, buy a cola and then use the loo. If you find one, let me know - 4 weeks and we are there :sun2

I don't think there is a public toilet near the beach at Cala Millor, I remember last year we could not find one and ended going to a bar to use their wc I remember there was a map sign showing one but when we got there it was a parking area, we will be there in a couple of weeks so if we need or see one I will post on here, although that will be to late for the original poster.

Alan

Edit: Sorry but Dara has corrected me, Tis is correct there is one near the middle of the beach where the showers and lifeguard are located, apparently I was thinking of somewhere else. :duh

I'm wondering if the block I'm thinking about is the bit where the Guarda Civil are based? Always thought there were loos there (just my memory of walking past it) but not having used that beach as we use the small one I wasn't 100% We usually do the bar thing...buy a coke and use the loo :cheers

Just come back, there is a toilet by the lifeguard but I dont think it is serviceable. Saw people looking and walking away the instuctions are 1 Insert coin 2 Press lever 3 Pull handle to open door. Lever was not there.

What was CB/CM like Jeffro? Many bar closures? Saw Beachboys was up for sale last year along with Donkey's Rest, Rope & Anchor and Smugglers (and numerous others)....wondered if they'd re-opened for this season?

I was there a couple of weeks ago and the 'Beachboys' is certainly open with the same owners. Seems busier than ever if you ask me. Place really seems to be buzzing with more and more shops now opened or occupied than last season.

Beachboys is open, Donkeys Rest has been incorperated into the cafe next door, the tatooist is now in the same row as the Waterfront and his old shop is one of those new things were you put your feet into a tank of fish.Rope and Anchor still going. There is a new takeaway next door to Julies sweet shop, Smithys is still going , small shop,Mini Market has opened next to the cala Bona Hotel selling icecream , suntan lotion etc

James...glad to know Sue and Ian are still up and running. Seemed to empty last year I was quite worried for this year...but sounds like things are on the op for them and others which is fab news!

Jeffro....am going to spend 2 weeks saying 'no' to the kids as they are very keen to try those fish things out lol. What sort of takeaway is next to Julie's?

Can't wait till I'm there.....34 days and counting :hyper :hyper :hyper

Hi Tis
We didn`t use this shop but the signs say fish and chips , kebabs, etc.

Hi Tis we are in Majorca right now and tried the fish and chip shop that jeffro has mentioned on our first night here, both myself and Alan had very very upset tummies during the night and early morning and can only think it was the food from this shop, but without any hard evidence we cannot say for certain.
We have been to both Cala Bona and Cala Millor a few times and it is busier this year than it was last year at this time, talking to different people including Julie (Alan cannot resist their fresh pies) thing are much busier than last year and there seems more people going self catering again.
So far its been a great holiday apart from Alan's suntan which has been very painful for him again (Men they will never learn will they). :rofl
Oh, Alan says if you like Chinese food the restaurant and take away in Sa Coma is a must.

Bye for now.

Dara and Alan.

Thanks Dara & Alan....might give that a wide berth then....altho' if the chips are nice we can have a bag of chips on the beach and it'll be just like being at Whitley Bay :rofl

Really pleased to hear things are busying up and more peeps are going s/c....that's what the bar and restaurant owners need.....can't wait till we are there...not long now! WoooHoooo!

I know what you mean about men.....I've been telling mine to wear his sandals in now but he won't listen so I can guarantee he'll have massive blisters on his feet within 48 hours of arriving as having red feet and shins....same story EVERY year!

Have a great time both of you! :cheers

Hi again Tis,
Your hubby sounds just like mine, he bought a pair of canvas shoes to wear to and from the airport, I told him they are no good and too flimsy, but would he listen, nope he knows best, as soon as we got here took the shoes off and a big blister on each foot, then he decided to use his sandels and yes you guessed it no sun tan lotion, now he has bright red feet and is limping, same with his shoulders he would not have any lotion on and now he is suffering with blisters on both shoulders.
Going to enjoy our last couple of nights, back home on Wednesday :cry

Bye for now
Dara

By the way his canvas shoes are somewhere in the Med after he threw then on the first night :rofl

I'll keep an eye out for them when we're there...enjoy your last few days, look forward to hearing all about it when you get back!
