Does it have to be Cala Millor ? (Cala Millor attracts a lot of Germans) Cala Bona/Sa Coma/S'Illot are very close have plenty of accom. I have been to all 4 resorts many times and never a bad holiday. All are family resorts and have a good price range from very cheap to expensive. Have look on the hotel sites and reviews here and see if any thing takes your fancy and let us Cala Millor dudes know and we will give you honest opinons . CBG
I liked the look of the beach at Cala Millor, cant find so many pics of beaches at other resorts although they look smaller. What are the beaches like and where is best beach do you think? Went to Playa de Muro this year and it was lovely with the hotel right on the beach, I'd like to find something similar.
The beach at Cala Millor is in easy walking distance from Cala Bona, we walked it most days. I didn't particularly like Cala Millor, but Cala Bona is lovely!
Sa Coma has a lovely large beach gently shelving. S'Illot is small but you can easily watch children on the beach in case they stray too far. All 4 resorts are lovely for a family holiday so get looking and see if you can get a bargain BUT remember to let us all know. I have a flight booked for May so I am also looking for a good deal. CGB

My kids are going to be 15 and 12 and will want a bit of freedom, for them the pool is the most important bit of the holiday, for me its the beach so we need to compromise.
Hi Peapod. Take a look at the Safari Park and Coma Gran both in Sa Coma. We have stayed at the Safari Park twice and it is great for kids. The Coma Gran always gets good reviews. We are hoping to go there in October. The Safari Park has several pools, mini golf etc. but a large percentage of German visitors (must be good cos they have high standards IMHO). Also. the beach is lovely at Sa Coma. The resorts of S'Illot, Cala Bona and Cala Millor are within walking distance if you fancy a change.
I'm a bit confused now about where to go. I have looked on the Protur website and like the look of a few, Palmeras Playa, Badia park and Vista Badia, anyone stayed here or know anything about them.
The Safari looks nice but is, I think, a Thomson superfamily which puts me off a bit.
Any more ideas?
Hi Peapod. Don't think the Safari Park is a Superfamily but the Coma Gran might be. I have stayed at the Safari Park and Vista Badia and to be honest I think the Vista Badia is the better one and you can still use the facilities at the Safari Park.
Me again. Think you can only book the Safari Park through Portland.
Its a lot easier when you can just go and leave grumpy teenagers in bed in the morning if you know they can find you easily!!

thanks for that , yes it is a good website, I used it already when I was deciding on an apartment. The map showing all the hotels was particularly useful for me and some good info on the apartments that we chose (palmeras)
Can you tell me the best way to get a taxi to Sa Coma , should I just get one at the airport or is it cheaper to pre-book?
Fare will be around the 70euro mark but allow 80 max.
http://www.protur-hotels.com i think alot of their hotels can be booked s/c.
try Just come back from another visit to Sa Coma, temperature just short of 30' mark.
Protur are doing an offer at the moment, book 3* with them at 28euro night, they pick the hotel though.
