Hi, sounds like it could be the Marina Apartments? does that ring a bell?

Could it be the Casas Del Lago ?

This is situated opposite the Marina Apts and a/the little shop. The views from the apartments and pool areas are of the Marina itself.

The tour operator for the Casas is Thomas Cook (and unfortunately, you cannot book direct as they are exclusive to Thomas Cook).

Thanks for the 2 replies so far. I've looked at the Marina Apartments and Casas Del lago subsequently, but these are not where we stayed. It was directly across the main road from the marina, literally a 20 yard stroll, at least a 5 minute walk round the corner from the beach. When I was there they were building another big hotel/apaprtment block to the right of it looking from the marina. There was also a small fenced in football pitch on site if that helps!

There are so many apartments around the Marina.

Roc Lago Park (used to be the Lago Gardens), Casas Del Lago, Marina Apartments, Valentin Star, Viva Menorca, Grupotel Club Menorca, Sol Falco, Marinda Gardens, Grupotel Tamariscos, Flora Garden, Hotel Cala en Bosch (an all inclusive), Paradise Club.

These are just a few of the big/main ones.

The Valentin Star is just across the road from the Marina and shops, the Roc Lago Park sits directly on the Marina with shops all around and below it.

Hope you find what you are looking for. Having said that, I would whole heartedly recommend the Casas Del Lago. We stayed here last year and they were the best apartments we have ever stayed in with a good location just opposite the beach and views across the marina. Perfect :D.

maybe it's the menorca star? It's now called theValentin Star but was called the Menorca Sta until a few years ago, they built the paradise club just behind that one about 8 years ago.

Hi, I think the hotel you mean in Roc Lago Park - We have just returned from there at the beginning of September. Directly across the road is the Spar shop. The hotel overlooks the marina and has a superb location. However, if you are planning to stay there again - go self catering as the food from the hotel is atrocious. Hope this helps

Not sure if you've located your mystery hotel yet but it sounds like The Paradise Club and Spa to me. Have alook at Airtours or Direct Holidays website.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my original query. My wife has now looked at them all and the winner is...The Paradise Club!! I still don't really recognise it but she assures me that is where we stayed in 2001! Thanks once again.

Glad you found it and yes it must be the Paradise Club and by coincidence we also stayed there in 2001 (small world).
