after weeks of discussions we have finally decided on calan forcat for next years holiday in june.
is this a good choice? we have two kids 12 and 9. the oldest having learning problems. is there enough things for them to do?
can anyone recommend good accomadtion we have looked at los lenticos, les daelphins and taylot apartments.
we want to be close to the centre of resort but want things to keep kids entertained during the day at apartments.
is there good bus links so we can visit other parts of minorca dont want to hire a car.
any good excursions to do ?
The other resort which seems popular with families is Cala n Bosch.

We,ve stayed in Cala'n Forcat a couple of times over the years. The beach is small so can get crowded in the high season, but there is another one you can walk to, you may even be staying closer to the alternative. It's easy to get into Cuidadela which is lovely, and I expect the bus services have improved since we were there. Have a great time
there are plenty of bars / restaurants around as well as a couple which have play areas for the little ones,
i have answered another thread on here in much more detail, in the thread about "vista picas apts".
hope you enjoy your holiday, im sure you will.
one thing that bothered me this year was that going with Thomsons we did NOT have a rep on the coach either way which surprised and somewhat alarmed me (alarmed as there could easily have been someone left behind, there was no name checks of any sort on the journey back....it was just like boarding a bus from town, miss it and you get left there, no second chances), as we had been to the island before it wasnt too bad but if it had been my first time there i would have been more worried.
forcat is an excellent choice for a family with kids, from the water park to most of the restaurants which cater brilliantly for the kids e.g bouncy castles, swings, slides etc, depending on which apts you choose the bigger beach is just outside forcat in cala n blanes (roughly a ten minute walk from the arch in forcat)but well worth the walk.whichever apts you choose your kids will enjoy it,try the "square on a night" some very good tribute bands.sure you will enjoy your time there and go back again.
