I wouldnt recommend Calas for teenagers, its a family resort really. Also, any 16 year old going All Inclusive will not get served alcoholic drinks. They will check your date of birth on arrival against the passport and give you a coloured wristband accordingly. Sorry to be a kill joy but thats the way it is.

Yeah we know that about the drinks, its fine. As long as I get them we should be fine. Where would you recommend then? We are pretty set on Mallorca but are happy to go elsewhere for cheap AI holidays. Only places we don't want to go are Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura. Any ideas would be most welcome :)

You should be fine in Majorca. You could try Palma Nova/Magaluf areas for teenagers. What are the dates your looking at?

Looking at 12/07/2011 - 19/07/2011. Sometime around then. Hoping to go to T4 on the beach on the 10th July so wanna leave soon afterwards but not the next day if possible. I'll have a look at those areas. Any recommendations?

Something else to bear in mind is that Calas De Mallorca is a good way from the airport so could be expensive for transfers, also it'll take a while to get there.

Travel Republic have Martha's apartments in Palma Nova for £284 for a 1 bedroomed apartment. This is self catering but if your girlfriend is only 16 and would only get a child's band then maybe S/C is a better option. There's a very large supermarked just across the road so you could stock up on nibbles and drinks. Also it's fairly cheap to eat out in Palma Nova/Magaluf.

Martha's gets good reviews.

There's also TRH Torrenova Hotel. Studio with sea view in Palma Nova s/c £300. This is a large hotel so there'll be plenty going on.

We really aren't that bothered about the drinks, she went AI to Lanzarote last year and loved it, even though she was only 15, her parents/sister managed to get her drinks when she wanted them. Also, being students, we don't have much money so AI is just easier and more convenient for us. Do either of these hotels do AI? If not can you recommend any?

EDIT:
OK, to keep prices down we have decided to broaden our horizons to include Turkey, Tenerife and Mallorca. Where will I get the best value for my money basically?

Turkey seems to be considerably cheaper than Spain this year.

Hi!

I went to Calas de Mallorca when I was 16 and my bf was 17. They dont have wristbands its a photo card. I never had an issues getting served alcoholic drinks, they treated us the same as any other adults.

We stayed at the Samoa and had a fab time. 7 years on and I am going with my fiance and daughter but this time to club cala romani. We were stuck between this and canarios park and after tonnes of research we settled with cala romani, near the resort centre and beach.

When I went at 16 I went in Oct and not many families around however if you are going in July be aware this is peak season u will pay double prices and be surrounded by families. Have you tried Alcudia? I went a couple of years ago and it caters for everyone.

Greece and Turkey are coming up cheap. Travel Republic is really good.

hi,

we are travelling to hotel america in calas de mallorca, does anyone know if it is cheaper to get a taxi from the airport and how long it would take to get to the hotel or are we better booking resorthoppa and how long is the transfer time.

thanks

It cost us 70 euros by taxi last July, it took 1hr. Going back we took the coach that was part of our package deal and it went all over the place, took over 2hrs to get to airport. I can recommend a British taxi driver, you book online but don't pay till you reach destination, he will be waiting inside airport with you name on a placcard.

Great hotel, we had lovely time.
