Hi

You don't say which part of Goa you want to visit North or South.

If you are looking at north try Lagoa Azul in Apora very nice hotel suitable for families in a quiet area but with easy access to the busier resorts about 5 mins from Baga or Calangute.

Try looking on First choice or Eclipse direct web site.

Check out Direct Holidays. We've found them to be the cheapest. We went to the Aldeia Santa Rita in Candolim. They love kids there but don't really cater for them. We met a family who were staying at the Victor Exotica. They had two younger kids and loved the hotel

Hi Brengun, i stayed at Taj holliday village with my 10 year old. Its in Candolim It was fab . They do cater for children with a kids menu a kids club and there own little restaurant. They have push bikes you can all hire and cooking classes that all the family can do by the pool. The pool is fantasticits huge. They have a range of activities for the kids so it gives you some free time for a little while each day if you so wish. Im sure they had a babysitting service although i never used it because there was only the two of us so i would have been lost without her. hope this helps. Anna.

hi if you fancy south goa there is a family run guest house in the jewel in the crown brochure called Donna Sa Maria its based in a lovely setting the garden is lovely very colourful flowers they have a pool which is adequate with sun beds and an out door restaurant they serve drinks and snacks round the pool or at the tables set out in the garden .
the staff are very friendly and helpful .
it is a short walk through the village to the beach which has a good choice of beach shacks .
in the evening there is sometimes entertainment on at the outdoor restaurant at the guest house or you can get a taxi very cheaply to any of the nearby eating places .
the guest house seems to be very reasonably priced compared to other places i think its because you need a taxi in the evenings .
it is run by serafino and puree they seem to have a reputation for running a quiet place they dont like noise late at night but dont shut the bar if anyone is sat having a QUIET drink . you can find details on the web if you type in jewel in the crown :D

Hi Brengun,
Check the hotel reviews, I would recommend the CSM (Colonial Santa Maria) in Baga, we have just got back & had a fantastic stay there, definately the best place we have stayed in Goa. Great location, as you are straight on beach, brilliant choice of food, & big bonus is there are several good places close by (Lazy days cafe, Bernards & Shooters), there is even a Subway for those who like sandwiches more than curry. Other places are Marina Dourada & Renton Manor in Arpora, both cater for families & are in a nice location (short taxi journey from everywhere). Hope you get sorted & have a great time.

Hi Maggie om,
Thanks for the recommendation, We had a fantastic time, & will definately go back to the CSM.
It was by far the best place we have stayed in Goa, I have often walked passed & thought how nice it would be to stay there. Now I have stayed there & yes it was very nice indeed. But the icing on the cake for me was Lazy days cafe, what a chilled out place it was. Top quality snacks & as cheap as chips, All staff extremely friendly & they really make an effort on food presentation. I cannot speak highly enough about it.

When do you go back ?

Best regards
Stewart & Family :D

We have booked the Lagoa Azul for Oct this year, only Hotels on package holidays that seem to have four bedded rooms are Highland Beach (Candolim) Lagoa Azul (Arpora/Baga) - both 1st Choice or Eclipse or the Dona Terazhina & Sun Village (Thomson) we have booked Lagoa Azul Direct and then booked flights from Heathrow as it works out cheaper & more Flexible than the packages!! -

good luck!
