hi beejay where you staying in jan???
ive been told we can just fly out and book in at one of the shacks on the beech...
which shack beejay
i think its called bobbys shack ..
ive been told he has lots of rooms in jan2007
Taxis are usually very small from the airport. More like little fiat vans with windows. 3 people with luggage I would say maximum and even that is a squeeze. There is the odd larger one knocking about but nothing like a black cab over here.
so they dont have black cabs at all ,i was told they had them.ive not been to india before ..what about pricvate hire cars??i was really looking to hire ab lack cab for a fortnight ..
There were one or two people carriers about when we were there at Christmas but I think you would have to sort that out when you arrive.
Are you sure you can book in and stay there at bobby's shack????/
Black cabs in Goa and you so don't need to hire a car over there. If you want to go on a trip ask a taxi to take you there.
DAK he is probably meaning big daddys in candolim (Bobby is the Mgr there as well as running his shack).
To be honest he is always fairly full so i would definately get in touch with him before you leave as big daddys is fairly small and i would assume you need at least 3 rooms.
but of sheer interest who told you that there are black cabs in Goa
As you haven't been before I would definitely book your rooms before you go - lots to decide - north or south, busy or quiet etc and don't get ripped off.
dak
Yeah he runs it on behalf of his mate who runs cuba shack in palolem, he has been doing it for a couple of seasons. Think kenny now runs the bar area there but will find out in March wahoooooo
look before you book
anyway here are a few pics of what the taxi's are like... in goa...

possibly the black cabs are the black and yellow ones operating from the airport . some of these are six seater Austin Ambassador (like an old Morris Oxford/Cowley from the '50's) but doubt if you can hire them longterm at a reasonable cost
would be nice a black cab or two there, i mite have a think about that one Mmmm
