Cant remember village name in troodos

Hi We visited some villages up the troodos about 5 years ago,There is one village that i cant remember the name, All i can remember is that there was a cottage used as a musium and another property used as a sort of musium with a lot of old clothes,shoes,and belongings of some of the locals that was killed by the British (cant remember the year),A fantastic village, If any member have the name of the village or any info it would be great, Thanks for reading this topic bsully

doesn't ring any bells but look here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troodos_Mountains (about halfway down there is a list of most of the villages) see if anything looks familiar.

I think it could be Omodos. There is a museum there about the EOKA struggle which has lots of personal effects in it. This is situated by the Church or Monastery of the Holy Cross. Down one of the side streets is Socrates house which is a museum of Cypriot life owned by an elderly couple who have lots of old things and furniture belonging to their family.

Thanks Carol, Yes you are correct, it is Omodos, as soon as i read your reply the name rang a bell, My Lad is hoping to go to cyprus this year and as was young he can just about remember socrates house and the little museum and would like to go back,(lucky boy)
Wish it was me,but i have booked another hol for this year. Once again thanks for you reply Brian
